Dr. Smruti Ranjan Mohanty joined CPP-IPR (formerly CPP) in 1998 as an Assistant Professor and was promoted to Fellow in 2000, Associate Professor- E in 2008, Associate Professor- F in 2014, and , Professor- G in 2021. He received a Ph. D. degree in Physics from University of Delhi, Delhi in 1998. He had also received the BOYSCAST fellowship (2000), French Research Ministry Fellowship (2000-01) and Japan Society for Promotion of Science (JSPS) fellowship (2004-06). He was a Visiting Professor (Foreign Researcher) at the University of Toyama, Japan, for one month in 2009. His research interests include pinch plasma devices, plasma diagnostics, plasma radiation sources and plasma processing. He is the author of more than 50 research papers that are appeared in various referred journals such as Applied Physics Letters (APL), Journal of Applied Physics (JAP), Plasma Sources Science and Technology (PSST), Physics of Plasma (POP) and others. Five students earned Ph.D. degree under his supervision. He regularly reviews the articles submitted to various International Journals (APL, JAP, PLA, PSST, IEEE Plasma, PPCF etc). He has completed successfully two BRNS, DAE projects. He has contributed to the French and Japanese national program on EUV Lithography during his postdoctoral research assignments.

Manoj Kumar Deva Sarma joined the Dense Plasma Focus (DPF) laboratory, CPP on 1st October 2002 as Lab Attendant-A. Further on 1st October 2010, he was promoted as Tradesman-B. Currently he is working in both DPF as well as Fusion Studies Laboratory. He has ample of expertise in handling of various Machines as well as in Electronics Gadgets.

Neelanjan Buzarbaruah did his M.Sc. from Gauhati University with specialization in Electronics & Nuclear Physics and taking Atmospheric Physics, Robotics and Nano science as elective paper. During M.Sc. he completed a project entitled “Profiling of Rain Size Drop distribution in simulated rain environment”. Currently he is working as a Junior Research Fellow at Fusion Studies Laboratory, Centre of Plasma Physics-Institute for Plasma Research, Sonapur, Assam 782402, India.

Nilam Jyoti Dutta did his M.Sc. from Gauhati University with specialization in Electronics & Nuclear Physics and taking Robotics, Atmospheric Physics and Nano science as elective paper. During M.Sc. he completed a project entitled “Design and Development of a Microprocessor Controlled Remote Sensing System by Simulating Earthquake Environment in Search of its Epicentre”. Currently he is working as a Junior Research Fellow at Fusion Studies Laboratory, Center of Plasma Physics-Institute for Plasma Research, Sonapur, Assam 782402, India.
